Yo! Must check out this video posted by Uglymen man! Super CLASSIC dance! Yeng-ness! Makes me rolling on floor laughing out loud. Bwahahaha. =D
Uglymen - Ugly Dance & Missing You
Not being able to attend this gig for sure is a pain, but thanks to YouTube, and those who took the effort to record and upload it up, I can feel myself standing down there too! LOLz.
My kids take their noon bath at school, and they bring back dirty laundry to wash. I was hangin up some clothes to dry when i found that David’s undies had “shrunk”. The color and design was exactly the same but it suddenly looked much smaller. I looked at the label and true enough, instead of “L” it read “S”. His undies must have been swapped by mistake with one of his little classmates.
Me: David, tomolo u need to bring this to school and tell teacher it’s not yours, ok. David: Ei? Mommy, it looks like mine wor… Me: No, this is S, see here, and yours should be L. (I see him looking confused..) Me: You know what S and L stands for? (he shakes his head) Me: Well, S is for Small, and.. (David eyes brightens up !) David: I know, I know - L for Long.
ROTFLMHO!
David on the right and Mike (his younger brother) on the left Chubi right? XD P/S: Chubi means "cute" in Hokkien. =P
Thanks to gnap, the gorgeous mum of both these kids, for giving me the permission to post it here. Kekeke.
Also also! I saw this very cute little kid having badminton training when I went for my weekly badminton session with my coursemates last Friday. Cannot tahan anymore too. So I curi-curi went and took a picture of him but sadly, this is the best picture I could get as he was constantly moving around and I was afraid of being chased away by his coach too. =P
Only 5 years old!

It was a very last minute planned trip to there. Ric, the number one loyal fan of Uglymen, called me on Friday evening telling me that he's driving to Teluk Intan, Perak the next day to attend Uglymen's gig and asked if I would like to follow him up. I, was then caught in a dilemma as I've promised my housemates earlier that I'll be going to Genting with them this weekend and I, for sure am not that kind of person who likes to FFK. But, on the other hand, I love going to gigs, very very much, everyone knows that, especially Uglymen's gigs. So, after deep considerations, I then decided finally, to pick up my mobile phone and called Ric to confirm that I'll be following him up the next morning.
We departed from Subang Jaya at around 10:30 AM, and arrived there at S.R.J.K. (C) San Min at around 1:30 PM after stopping and asking for directions several times. Many thanks to a very kind pak cik there who brought us to the venue by leading us using his motorcycle.
Called Michael. Gosh. At least two more hours before Uglymen and Signature from Alor Star could arrive. How am I gonna kill my time there? Luckily, since it was a carnival, many activities were being held. I slowly visited all booths and basically stoned for around ten minutes at each of them before I proceeded to the next. There were 3 on 3 basketball tournaments going on too but I did not bother to watch as the weather was freakingly hot. And later I finally got to settle down watching people rehearsing for lion dance competition until both the bands reached. Whoo... =P
*fast-forwards to night time*
After a performance by a local artist whom I've forgotten what's his name, and also a hair fashion show which almost made me vomited out my dinner, at last, it was time to rock!
First band up on stage was 生命站, Life Station, which consists of 7 members - 1 drummer, 1 bassist, 1 guitarist, 1 keyboardist cum vocalist, and 3 vocalists. As usual, I like their easy listening arrangement on songs which gave me a little jazzy bluesy feel here and there. Also, very nice vocals backing on each other too.
Next up on stage was 狼牙, Signature! Mainland Chinese rock is their style. And this was the first time I watched them since they added a new vocalist. Much more powerful now! Everything seems perfectly great, but the down part was sound balancing, else they could have done a better job than that.
丑男人, Uglymen was then up on stage last. Due to some serious "technical" problems during the introduction of their show, it was obvious that they all lost forms in kicking asses throughout the rest of their show. I, too, was very disappointed at first, but still enjoyed their efforts in giving their very best until the end. Thanks for making my this trip worthwhile!
Hosin drummer!
Hosin bassist!
Hosin guitarist!
Hosin Uglym3n! P/S: Hosin means "house fly" in Hokkien. =P
And lastly, here's a video from me again to end this post. Oh yea, the vocalist wasn't feeling well last night, so, ermm, you'll know if you watch this video. Hehe. Presenting you...
Hi people! Hmm... I've not been updating my blog since the commencement of my second semester. Things are doing quite fine here for me, but I can feel that the very hectic course works are going to start drowning me very soon. =S
So yepz. Back to the topic. Went to Laundry Bar at the Curve yesterday night to attend Penang Invasion gig with Jonathan, Zhen Yu and Yee Aun. Thanks much for the ride man! Met up with Wilson, Eong Xien, Calvin, Faizal and Teko there too. I'm sure everyone had a great time!
First band up on the stage was TwoSidesToAStory, the only band which is not really "qualified" as a Penang band. LOLz. They are all based in Damansara, but apparently their drummer is "made in Penang", and that's how they were able to stand on the stage last night and gave us a very steady and cool performance. Nice opening from them to warm up the house!
Going up next was Poseidon! They are the champion of Asian Beat Penang Regional Final 2005 if I'm not mistaken. Watched them once last year, and this time around, they definitely did not fail to impress me even more. Tight band with cool progressive rock music!
And last but not least, Ocean Of Fire! Nothing much to write here, cause they suck. LOLz. Okey, I'm just kidding, and I know that's lame. Champion of Asian Beat National Final 2006, which then represented Malaysia and received the Special Jury Prize in Asian Beat Grand Final 2006/2007. Indescribable mouth opening performance!
Alright, I guess that's all for now. Am proud to be half a Penangite! LOLz.
Oh yea, and finally, here's a video of Ocean Of Fire's performance I recorded using my digital camera with super low settings last night. Please bare with the very lousy quality as I kind of forgot to change the settings. Hehe.
P/S: Smoked too much last night. Still suffocating now. X_x
P/P/S: Happy 20072007!

So yepz. I just touched down at Kuala Lumpur LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal). Having a cup of Ice Blended Mocha at The Coffee Bean now while waiting for my housemate cum coursemate Gian to arrive from Bandung, Indonesia.
The connection is super slow here. I guess that's all for this short update. Hehe. See you in Subang Jaya!
Just a brief introduction here before I start. SJKH stands for St. John of Keat Hwa, while Training Course is an activity organised annually by the seniors in order to train the juniors more effectively in a two days course rather than the normal weekly meetings.
So yepz. I, as an ex-member, went back to my secondary school today to visit my juniors. Today is already the second day of their course, they were having footdrill competition when I arrived this morning.
Most of them are still very new. Spare them a room for improvements yea.
Whoops. Sorry for interrupting your meal. Don't stare at me like this. =P
Hey! This is a doctor and a nurse, not St. John first aiders. =P
That's all for now. Leaving tomorrow. Till then, bye and take care everyone!
Semester 2 starts on the 17th of July, 2007 (Tuesday). Only students who failed the exam are required to come and see our programme director, Dr Malini, on the 16th of July, 2007 (Monday).

Anyway, welcome back everyone! Not sure how many will still be constantly checking here though despite the fact that I restrict public access to my blog out of a sudden without prior notification. Really sorry to those who were not informed as I only managed to put up a small announcement in my Windows Live Messenger.
So yepz, as you can see, I've changed my old blog address to http://silverisle-old.blogspot.com as the old postings don't suit well with my current layout. Please do feel free to check it out anytime if you miss the small fonts and cool background there. Hehe. And also, not to forget my previous blog in Friendster at http://silverisle.blogs.friendster.com/silverisle, the lovely tune will always be there waiting for you. Hehe.
Alright, I guess that's all for my grand first post. Let's just hope that I will be more hardworking and write more entries in the coming future. Hehe. Till then, take care and have a nice day people.
