Time really flies. Sigh. Only 1 month and 13 days left before I leave for Australia. *sobs*
Just for your information. The University of Newcastle is the place where I will be spending most of my next two years at in Australia. It is located in Callaghan, a suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales. When being asked by most of my friends who have no idea where is it, my answer will always be "near Sydney lor". Haha.
Anywayz, results are out, on the 9th of December. I was on my way to a shopping mall in Kuching when my coursemate Val suddenly called me and I immediately knew what was it about without her needing to say anything. Haha. Thanks again Val, not forgetting those who messaged me too, and also to you-know-who-you-are for being there with me at that particular moment. =) Overall, I think I am quite satisfied with my results for my second semester despite all the unexpected things that happened to me during my exam period. Congratz to everyone who has successfully made it through to the third semester too!
Exam Results for Semester 2 - 2007Upon receiving my eCoE (electronic Confirmation of Enrolment) via email on the 13th of December, I then proceeded to complete my
electronic visa application online which costs me AUD430 and make an appointment with the Penang X-ray Specialist Klinik to do my medical and chest x-ray examinations as soon as possible.
Right after I returned to my hometown from holiday on the 17th of December, I then went to Penang with my dear on the next day and met up with my coursemate Kok Loong at the clinic to do our checkup together. We were first asked to collect our urine in a small bottle, the rest was then carried out separately in different rooms. During my chest x-ray examination, I was asked to remove my upper part clothing completely but luckily was provided with a hospital gown to wear. Phew. I felt very uneasy but was glad that the procedure and the waiting after that didn't take me too long. After that, did an eye test, height and weight were measured, and had a photo taken on the spot.
When I thought being half naked just now was terrible enough, next, I was asked to remove my trousers too! Gosh. With only panties plus the
thin and
short hospital gown provided on, I laid on the bed uncomfortably but pretended to be very natural while being examined by a male doctor and witnessed by a female nurse. *inserts red face here* My total bill costs me RM150 whereas Kok Loong who was asked to have an extra lateral view chest x-ray was charged RM200.
Before I left, the doctor told me that he will process and email my report directly to the immigration department on the evening itself. I didn't bother much until I received an email three days later on the 21st of December saying that my electronic visa application has already been approved. Woah. Really efficient.
So now, I'm very glad that the most important stuff has been settled. But damn, my application for on-campus accommodation was rejected, not sure what happened but all of us who applied got rejected together. We seriously can't do anything but to start seeking for off-campus accommodation ourselves now. Sigh. Till then, hope everything goes well on everyone's side lar. =)
