My first time cooking!

Before I start, wait, you ought to know this, please do not misunderstand the title. It's not that I've never stepped into the kitchen, and, it's not that I've never cooked instant noodles or easy stuffs like that. You get it? Okey. We shall proceed then. =P

This is actually the first time I'm preparing a proper meal all by myself, without anyone standing beside me to disturb guide me.

So yepz. Last Wednesday evening when my roommate Yvonne wasn't around, I then quickly grabbed the opportunity to cook dinner for both of us. Hehe.

A little too oily and salty (for me) stir-fried French beans with egg and minced hot dog.

A little too black fried Texan BBQ chicken as I was afraid they were not cooked inside.

That's it! I miss Malaysian food... T_T

Commencement of Semester 1, 2008

So yepz. Semester 1, 2008 at the University of Newcastle, has officially commenced this week, on the 18th of February (Monday). And this marks the start of my Year 2 in Bachelor of Biomedical Science!

The subjects I'm taking this semester are: HUBS2106 - Musculoskeletal Anatomy For Biomed, HUBS2107 - Mammalian Growth & Development, HUBS2503 - Clinical Exercise Physiology, and HUBS2505 - Human Pathophysiology.

First week of classes ended, and it was really a tiring one. Distance required to walk to another venue after a lecture is usually very FAR and requires around 10 minutes of FAST walking. Whoo... I shall post the campus map up here next time when I have the time to write about my university. Hehe.

The attendance for first week of lectures was outstanding, seriously. Although this is a very good phenomenon, but I personally do not hope that this will continue for the coming weeks. Haha. Want to know why? Spot the lecturers in these pictures below! =P

Hooray! My photo uploading problem to Flickr has been solved (but my Flickr Uploadr still ain't working yet), that means I can start blogging again. Weeeee...

Greeting from Down Under!

Weeeee... I finally am able to come online today after around 1 week arriving in Callaghan, Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia on the 8th of February (Friday).

This is just a short notice here to inform all my friends that I am doing safe and sound here.

I have slowly settled down in my place... The weather is cold and nice, temperature below 20 °C most of the time. The accommodation is very comfortable, it actually makes me feel like I'm staying in a hotel room. The food is okey but we usually cook ourselves because it's healthier and cheaper, and I'm already missing Malaysian food now. The university is like located in a forest and it is sooooo huge, that I don't think I want to sign up for a gym to keep fit anymore as walking to the campus everyday itself is tiring enough. The environment is very peaceful, perfect for study, but sadly there are too many insects especially mosquitoes.

A Dream Come True

It has always been my dream to be able to jam Robot (my favourite track from their debut album Ugly) with Uglymen.




Since I am going abroad soon to study for at least 2 years, I thus decided that I ought to accomplish my this small dream of mine before I leave. =)

So, I told my sifu Michael about it, knowing that it might just remain as an unreachable dream at the moment because it is still considered quite a technical challenging song to me. But, he immediately agreed to teach me and I then started to practise intensively.

Finally, on the 29th of January (Tuesday), I managed to have a jam with them during their weekly session in Penang! Weeeee... Although, it was a bad one. =P And this video below was recorded when I got a second chance to jam with them again on the 3rd of February (Sunday) at Muzik Sistem in Alor Star, Kedah.

Whoo... Sorry for the lack of updates recently. I've been really busy meeting friends, buying stuffs and packing things before I leave Malaysia to Australia in 2 days' time. ='(

Anywayz, I went to Penang last weekend to attend Photowalkers' Boey Geh Gathering on the 1st of February. Hopefully, I will have the time to blog about it as soon as possible. Haha.
