Hungry? =D

Sorry for the lack of updates again... Oh well, like anyone cares. =P

I've been really busy enjoying my Easter holiday last week, and now, studying for my upcoming HUBS2106 mid-semester exam. GO GO GOOO~!!!

Anywayz, no matter how busy you are, also must eat one right? Kekeke.

So yepz. Weeeee... I tried to cook two new dishes for lunch today:

Tomato Fried Egg

That's all for now. Hope you had a great lunch too. LOLz. Sekian, terima kasih.

The Australian way of drinking Milo

Seriously, I'm not sure if it is just me being a frog under the coconut shell (katak di bawah tempurung) or what, but when I was told by my Australian friends that our classic Malaysian way of drinking Milo by dissolving it in boiling water is weird, I felt really surprised that there actually IS a different way to drink Milo in Australia. LOLz.

Milo 01

So yepz. If you too have not heard or tried to drink Milo this way yet, I would strongly recommend you to go get your ingredients ready now! =P

Milo 02

Firstly, pour cold milk into a mug until 3/4 full.

Milo 03

Then, add 4 heaped teaspoons of Milo (or any amount you prefer) and stir them together.

Milo 04

TADAHHHHH~!!!!!

It may not look nice to you, but you ought to try it yourself to prove me wrong. Hehe. I personally like it very much!

P/S: Whoo... It wasn't easy at all to take these photos as I was the one performing the actions and holding the camera (DSLR) at the same time! LOLz. I had to drink the milk again and again as it overflowed again and again before I could get a nice shot. Noobz. =P

So yepz. How is it? Haha. Anywayz, have a blessed Easter to all Christians out there. As for me, no classes until this Thursday! Weeeee... I'll be going down to Sydney later today to the 2008 Sydney Royal Easter Show.

An evening at Nobbys Beach

Weeeee... My first mid-semester exams are all over! FINALLY! *dances around*

Wait, not really, one more subject HUBS2106 left on the 31st of March. But, oh well, who cares, must enjoy for a while first lar! =P Most of my friends have went out to party in the city while me, being the "antisocial" one, chose to stay back in my room and... Update my blog! Kekeke.

So yepz. On the 7th of March, we went to Nobbys Beach in the city of Newcastle to celebrate Jiann Wei's birthday.

Nobbys Beach 01
Collision of night and day in the evening sky...

We went there by bus (AUD3 per person).

Nobbys Beach 02
I don't know why but I quite like the spontaneous smile of Gaik Tin (girl in white top) in this photo. =)

Yeah-ness! We arrived at a bus stop near a beach and walked to Nobbys Beach.

Nobbys Beach 03
Tricolour View: green land, blue sea, purple sky

I totally enjoyed my walk alone on the way there. Perfect weather with awesome scenery!

Nobbys Beach 04

When I finally reached Nobbys Beach, I only managed to capture a few shots and it was already dinner time. Hehe.

Nobbys Beach 05
The survivor! LOLz.
There were lots of birds there but they all flew away when I went near them as the longest focal length I had was only 50 mm. =P

12th Malaysia General Election

Hell yeah opposition parties! Go DAP! Go PAS! Go PKR! Please do take good care of the five states - Kedah, Penang, Perak, Selangor and Kelantan yea. =D

I know most of you probably are already sick of reading posts related to Malaysia General Election 2008. But I can't help it but to jot down this memorable moment of my beloved homecountry - Malaysia as a part of history in my blog.

I was playing drinking game again last night when I suddenly received a SMS around 12:00 AM (9:00 PM in Malaysia) saying that DAP has won Penang! Woohoo... I immediately jumped and cheered with joy and couldn't wait to get back to my room then to get myself updated with the live reports from Malaysiakini.

PM: 'We've lost, we've lost' - 4.12am

These were the only words which Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi could muster when quizzed on the ruling coalition's shocking defeat in five states.

Abdullah was posed with the question during a press conference at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur. He was accompanied by his wife Jeanne, deputy Najib Abdul Razak and other BN leaders.

The prime minister added that he will make a media statement after analysing the results in detail.

I was supposed to start and finish my assignment last night (LOLz) but I ended up refreshing the page every 1 minute to witness the whole process of "revolution" until 7 in the morning. It was all worth it! And I practically ignored all messages in my WLM conversation windows which were not related to the general election as all I wanted to chat about was the general election. =P

As for now, I am very happy but a little bit worried at the same time. We shall wait and see!

Kings of Hamburger?

Yesterday was a fun day despite our tight mid-semester exam schedule! =P

We went to Nobbys Beach in the evening to celebrate Jiann Wei's birthday. More photos to be updated in a separate post. Then we came back to Barahineban and joined a potluck organised by our seniors from Malaysia.

And after that, was the best part! We played Kings! It is basically a type of drinking game. Haha.

Kings Drinking Game
"King's Cup" consists of a mixture of Irish cream, rum, vodka, cola, lemonade, juice, milk... =S

Go check out the rules if you have no idea what a "King's Cup" is. LOLz. Lucky thing I wasn't the lucky one to have to gulp the whole thing down. Eww...

Anywayz, my lunch yesterday...

Hamburger

Bwahahaha. I made hamburger! =D

Let's see what's inside... Hmm... Lamb and beef patty, cheese, egg, lettuce, onion, carrot, ketchup, mayonnaise and wholemeal sandwich bread! Oh, so healthy! =P

P/S: Come to think of it, yesterday actually didn't start off well. My Nokia 6500 slide received its first scratch at 1:15 PM. SADDDDDDDDDD~!!!!!!!!!! ='(

P/P/S: Today is THE day for my beloved homecountry - Malaysia General Election 2008! Anticipating... Whether or not I should apply for PR here, it all depends on YOU! Please vote wisely.

Anywayz, my lunch today...

Spaghetti Bolognese

I cooked spaghetti bolognese again! =)

My third attempt cooking spaghetti, this time using Leggo's Bolognese with Mushrooms Pasta Sauce, adding in a lot of my own ingredients. Hehe.

Hmm... I guess I am slowly regaining confidence in cooking spaghetti after my first failure attempt - I created an awful sauce. =P So, my next target is, to make my own sauce, a nice one!

New silverish island... In the land Down Under!

G'day mates! =D

Barahineban 01

My name is Samson, you can call me Mr. Samson. This friend of mine sitting below me is my friend SilverIsle's son, Guai Zhai. =P Anywayz, I am here today to bring you peepz to have a look around SilverIsle's new silverish island, this time, in the land Down Under!

P/S: If you are interested to visit her old silverish islands, please do feel free to click here and here.

Barahineban 02

So yepz. Barahineban is the name of her on-campus accommodation here in the University of Newcastle, Australia.

Barahineban 03
The entrance looks small eh? Wait till you walk in later. Hehe.

Barahineban 04
*ahems* Her contact details in Australia can be found here. =P

Now, let's enter the automatic door at the entrance, pass through the foyer, and this, is what you will see then!

Alrighty. The weather is really cold outside here. Brr... Let's proceed into her room immediately.

Barahineban 06
That's her room door.

Weeeee... So here's an overview of her room sharing with her roommate Yvonne.

Barahineban 07

Without scrolling down, can you first guess which is her place and which is Yvonne's place? I suppose this is not a tough one at all. =P

Barahineban 08
Did you get it right? LOLz.

Basically, Barahineban is a really nice place to stay if you prefer a more independent style of college living. Unlike the other three residential colleges, each room in Barahineban has a kitchenette and an ensuite itself.

P/S: Today, 1st of March, marks the first day of autumn in Australia. Brr...

Short Talk: Of spaghetti...

I cooked spaghetti bolognese for lunch today and received pretty positive comments from Yvonne and Kok Loong. I feel happy but sad at the same time as it reminds me of my first attempt cooking spaghetti for him...
