Summary of Sydney Trip

Last Sunday, Kok Loong, Min Yuan, Yvonne and I decided to take a train down to Sydney for a day trip since we basically did nothing during our 2 weeks mid-semester break which is ending soon. Hehe.

I brought my DSLR along but as usual, I was too lazy to take it out from my camera bag and thus, these are some pictures taken by my Nokia 6500 slide. =P

We walked to the Warabrook (University) railway station early in the morning at around 5:30 AM.

The sky here turns bright earlier if compared to Malaysia.

We reached Sydney at around 9:00 AM and we walked and ate and walked and ate and walked and ate. Then we went back to Newcastle at night feeling happy. LOLz. The end. =P

Oh yea. Kok Loong had a haircut there too. Handsome tak? Gua gua gua.

The process of making non-baked cheesecake...

First and foremost, double-check your recipe and make sure that you have all the essential ingredients ready and that you have clearly familiarised yourself with the procedures so that things won't go kelam-kabut later.

Making Cheesecake 01
Google Queen in action! XD

Then? Start working lor...

Making Cheesecake 02
LOLz. The cheesecake team and the trifle team standing in a line?

Oh yea, also, don't forget to keep your pets in a safe place to ensure that no animals are harmed in the making of your cheesecake.

Making Cheesecake 03

Okey, I know I'm lame, and I'm giving up on being lame now.

Method! =D

P/S: I apologise for not being able to provide the exact amount needed as all I did was based on instinct. LOLz.

1. Melt butter.

Making Cheesecake 04

2. Process digestive biscuits until finely crushed (also curi makan-ing in the process).

Making Cheesecake 05

3. Add melted butter (in 1) and mix well.

4. Press firmly and evenly into the base of a greased baking tray (springform pan is recommended).

Making Cheesecake 06

5. Freeze the crust for 30 minutes while you continue with the filling.

Making Cheesecake 07

6. Melt lime flavoured jelly crystals (to replace gelatin) in hot water.

7. Whip (use electric mixer if you have, I know not everyone is as strong as me) thickened cream until slightly thickened, add melted flavouring (in 6) and sugar, continue whipping until smooth (don't over-whip).

Making Cheesecake 08

8. Microwave cream cheese on high briefly to soften.

9. Add whipped mixture (in 7) and continue whipping until smooth (again, don't over-whip).

Making Cheesecake 09

10. Remove crust from freezer (in 5), spread a layer of strawberry jam on top.

11. Pour filling (in 9) into baking tray and smooth the surface with a spoon.

12. Freeze for at least 1 hour before transferring it to refrigerator and basically you are done (unless you want to have fun by adding decorations like us then move on).

13. Melt chocolate using the double boiler method (don't be lazy, Google it).

14. Pour into a greased paper.

Making Cheesecake 10

15. Unleash your creativity.

Making Cheesecake 11

16. Transform into a camwhore while waiting for the rest to finish.

My first experience with DST!

Woohoo... Awesomeness!

I just witnessed how my computer clock amazingly turned backward 1 hour from 2:59 AM to 2:00 AM! LOLz. I'm 1 hour closer to Malaysia now!

Daylight Saving Time rocks!

Okey, I know I'm a Jakun. XP

P/S: I wanted to video record it but not in time. LOLz. I shall wait till 5th of October then when Daylight Saving Time starts again. Hehe.

Meet Sungha Jung...

My first mid-semester exam ended today! Hooray? Nah. The second one will come up real soon. Brr... =S

Anywayz, I initially planned to update my blog today, about something else but food. LOLz. But woah, this 11-year-old kid named Sungha Jung from South Korea, just practically made me spent my whole night watching and drooling over him. =P

(Source: Sungha Jung's MySpace)
Cute right? XD

Don't ask me who he is. Just watch. A future professional acoustic fingerstyle guitarist. Fooooo...

Sungha Jung - More Than Words

And when I read that he has only started learning the guitar two years ago. What? I don't believe. Hmph!

Now, after so much of YouTube-ing, it really makes me miss playing my guitar more and more and more and more and more... ='( Sigh. I am so gonna get more part time jobs (have gotten 1 so far) during my 2 weeks April holiday to earn some extra bucks so that I can buy myself a guitar here real soon.

Lastly, Happy April Fools' Day to everyone! Must be sporting yea. LOLz.
